Form Name, Description, and Tab Orientation

Once you've created your form, you can share it with others via email or any social networking platform to start collecting submissions. The Direct Link provides a link that allows form users to directly access your form without navigating through your campus portal.

The Direct Link contains a unique string of letters and numbers that reference the form. The link never changes - even if you update your form.

How Do I...

1. Log in to JICS as an Administrator and access EX FormFlow - Forms.

2. Click Manage Forms. The Manage Forms page appears.

3. Click on the form you are working with.

4. Click Form Settings. The Form Information window appears.

5. From the Direct Link, select the URL shown.

6. Right-click and select Copy or press Ctrl+C.

7. Access where you want to make the link available. This could be your email template, event promotional information, Facebook page, Twitter account, etc.

8. Right-click and select Paste or press Ctrl+V.

Form Name

The Form Name is the name of your form. It is used as the text for your form URL and helps you keep track of your forms in EX FormFlow - Workflow. Example

How Do I...

1. Log in to JICS as an Administrator and access EX FormFlow - Forms.

2. Click Manage Forms. The Manage Forms page appears.

3. Click on the form you are working with.

4. Click Form Settings. The Form Information window appears.

5. If not selected, click the Definition tab.

6. Update the form name as needed.

7. Click Save. The form name is updated and the Form Information window closes.

Form Description

The Form Description is a block of text underneath the Form Name. They're useful for giving an introduction to your form. You can use @@ to use a data source for looking up information. Example

How Do I...

1. Log in to JICS as an Administrator and access EX FormFlow - Forms.

5. If not selected, click the Definition tab.

6. Update the form description as needed. You can update the format, create bullet and numbered lists, add a link, include an image or file, and work directly with the HTML.

7. Click Save. The form name is updated and the Form Information window closes.

Tab Orientation

Tab orientation options allow you to control how the tabs are positioned and arranged on the form.

How Do I...

1. Log in to JICS as an Administrator and access EX FormFlow - Forms.

2. Click Manage Forms. The Manage Forms page appears.

3. Click on the form you are working with.

4. Click Form Settings. The Form Information window appears.

5. If not selected, click the Definition tab.

6. From the Tab Orientation drop-down, select vertical or horizontal according to how you want the tabs to appear to users.

7. Click Save. The form name is updated and the Form Information window closes.
